MID is a free Web based desktop, which runs on any Internet browser, giving the user access to various applications that are accessible any where, any time on any Internet browser. There is NO SOFTWARE to download.

What do I get when I sign up?
When you sign up at MyInternetDesktop.com, you get a total of 100MB of storage space for you to use to share and store files on Virtual Hard Drive, check your pop3 server email accounts with complete email capabilities, plus access to our vast library of current and upcoming web applications.

What if I forget my password?
Simply click on the "Forgot your password?" link under the log on box in the main login page, type your email address in the email box and a couple of minutes later, you will receive the password that belongs to your user account.

Is MID really free?
Yes. MID applications are free of charge, supported by sponsors and advertisers. However, that does not mean that we put a sponsor logo, ad or banner anywhere it will fit on your desktop. We put advertisers and sponsors respectably and professionally on our site. You will not be inundated with ads or emails from them.

How do I advertise on MID?

All information given to MyInternetDesktop.com is for demographic purposes only. No one has permission to access your data or your password, unless given permission by you. Your login and password are stored on secure servers and passwords are encrypted.

What software / hardware requirements do I need to run MID?
MID is compatible with any Operating System. MID is completely Web based so there is no software to download or install and no special hardware to purchase.

What browsers does MID support?
MID works on Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02 and above, Netscape Navigator 3.04 and above, AOL 4.0, Opera 3.6+, Espial Escape, Voyager, WebTV New Classic and Plus, PlaneWeb running on Macintosh, PC, Unix, QNX, Linux and other OSsystems. What kind of email can I check from MID?
POP3 Server currently. We are working on brining IMAP capabilities in version 2.0 of iMail.

We support Outlook 97/98/2000 and will support Palm Pilot Series

What kind of file types can I view, attach to email, or open on MID?
You can attach any file to an email (limited to your email service), you can view any file in MID provided you have the application to support it on your computer.

MID will soon support the Palm VII and will be compatible with the most popular PDAís on the market.
